TUFANI MAYFIELD

Tufani Mayfield Tufani Mayfield, in his blog The Me Decor Cybrary, is renewing the art scope of painters who use blogs to present his aestethic to a great audience. His blog is fresh, somehow strange, but clearly revolutionary for the common taste of artists blogs.

From the beginning is the name: The Me Decor Cybrary. What? Let Tufani explain this matter:

ME.
In Sumerian mythology, a me is one of the decrees of the gods foundational to those social institutions, religious practices, technologies, behaviors, mores, and human conditions that make civilization, as the Sumerians understood it, possible. They are fundamental to the Sumerian understanding of the relationship between humanity and the gods.

And the Cybrary, a neologism explained by artist:

CYBRARY.
The term cybrary combines the words "cyberspace" (AKA the Internet) and "library". We present art, designs and cultural information to the public with the intention of triggering a sort of "quantum inspiration" for people.

Referring to the blog, its very well distributed, altough some problems could be arise if you get it in notebook, as is my case. Some font colors are difficult to read. But the blog is very complete, fresh and elaborated at the same time.

It seems to me that this blog has a good audience in people interested in a new artist that is able to promote his artwork with intelligence and good aestethic sense.

In particular, what amazing me was the

ELEMENTALITY COLLECTION 2009
"Cycle of Creation"
Triptych - inspired by Chinese 5 elements practices.

Is a very powerful tryptic that expand my imagination and make me flight. Please visit this great blog.

In resume, a very good blog, well designed, well documented, mixed and tasted. Must visit.

JUSTIN CLAYTON

Justin Clayton Blog

Justin Clayton is an oil painter who blogs, and my first choice. His style is intimist and his focus point is put on very familiar and daily images, from still life images to landscapes. Well, let him describe his work:

Most of these pictures are small intimate paintings of everyday subject matter ranging from a single orange to a simple landscape; favoring simplicity over complexity in composition. I paint mostly from life and am quite interested in how light affects different subjects.

Justin began his blog in January 2006 and in the begining he was uploading a painting each day. Now he is presenting three or four works each week, an impressive volume. And the more important, is not loosing quality.

You can check his blog clicking in the image

This is a powerful example of an artist blogging to promote his artworks and really made to expose his work and remark his quality.
